- You need to hire a runner, and there are 2 candidates
- One is running towards something
- The other is running from something
- But you can’t tell which is which
- Their speed and qualifications are on par
- So how do you tell them apart?
- Ask them about their fears
- Those who run from something have no time to look back, they just can’t afford it.
- Those who run towards something can only do so if they pause often, look around, face their fears, and learn to live alongside them.
- Only then, you have nothing to run from and everything to run toward
Running from or toward?
A metaphor for distinguishing people driven by fear from those moving deliberately toward a goal.
